Meet Abdul Hassan Noor on this week’s Employee Spotlight. He has been working with us since 2008 and was part of the initial team that established the Building Maintenance section of HDC.

During his long tenure with us, Noor has climbed up the corporate ladder and currently holds the position of Manager, Facilities Management of Real Estate Management Department. He takes on the responsibility of overseeing repair and maintenance work of residential and commercial properties.

Noor was selected among the best 10 employees of the year 2009 and was nominated for employee of the year in 2009. In his experience, his contributions to key projects undertaken by the corporation  include, Hulhumalé Rowhouse fire incident taskforce works, handover & building inspections of 504, 1000 and 7000 housing unit project.

Noor perceives HDC as a platform that has encouraged him to complete further studies and explore new experiences. He was a member of Bid Evaluation Committee of the corporation in 2017 & 2018 and was elected as a member of Executive Committee of Club HDC for the year 2015. Such opportunities have helped him in demonstrating leadership and teamwork qualities which in return equipped him to achieve challenging tasks with other departments and stakeholders.

Aside from work at HDC, he had served for Maldivian Thalassemia Society during 2013- 2019 as an Executive Committee member & the position of Treasurer as well. He is a National Futsal Referee and team official of Club HDC’s Futsal team for Club Maldives Cup in various years.
