In collaboration with the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT), we have successfully concluded a training program titled ‘Vilunveri Kanbalun’ translating to Resilient Women. This initiative’s primary goal is to empower women through comprehensive training, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle household appliances safely. 

Throughout the program, women underwent hands-on-training in troubleshooting and repairing common household appliances, performing minor maintenance tasks, and making informed decisions regarding utility usage. This approach aimed to build confidence, fostering the creation of an independent and self-reliant community of women. 

The successful completion of the program was marked by a closing ceremony held at Farukolhufushi, officiated by our Chief Hospitality Officer, Ibrahim Inaz. A total of 150 women successfully completed the program and received their certificates at the ceremony, a testament to their hard work and dedication.

Recognising the pivotal role that women play in shaping the future of our society, we are steadfast in our commitment to supporting initiatives that empower them.
