Theme 

“Life in Hulhumalé” 

We’re looking for authentic, original content that reflects the lifestyle, culture, and character of Hulhumalé. We want to see what makes Hulhumalé unique through your perspective.  

Who Can Participate? 

• Open to all residents and visitors of Hulhumalé 
• Participants must have a public Instagram account
• Submissions must be original and created by the participants

Submission Guidelines 

You may submit one (1) entry in one of the following formats: 

• One photo OR One video (under 1 minute) 

• Submission must be original  

• AI-generated or edited content is not allowed (entries using AI will be disqualified) 

Your entry must: 

• Be high quality  

• Include a brief caption  

• Be posted on a public Instagram 

How to Submit 

1. Post your entry on Instagram 
2. Follow both @hdcmaldives and @myhulhumalemv 
3. Tag both pages in your post 
4. Invite @hdcmaldives and @myhulhumalemv as collaborators*
5. Include #LifeinHML in the caption
6. Complete our submission form to enter
7. Submit before 8th May 2025

Please ensure your account remains public during the submission and voting period

Please note: Collaborator tags on Instagram posts will be accepted once winners have been officially selected

Judging & Evaluation 

Each submission will be evaluated based on a combination of public engagement and expert evaluation. The final score will be calculated as follows:

60% – Public Engagement

• Based on the number of likes the post receives on Instagram
• Only likes received on public accounts will be considered
• Engagement will be measured within the official voting period

40% – Judging Panel Evaluation

• A panel of selected judges will assess entries based on the following aspects:
  • Creativity & Originality 
  • Relevance to theme 
  • Visual Composition 
  • Caption & Storytelling 

Note: Any use of AI-generated content will result in immediate disqualification

• 1st Place: MVR 5,000 | 2nd Place: MVR 3,000 | 3rd Place: MVR 2,000 

Video Category 

• 1st Place: MVR 8,000 | 2nd Place: MVR 5,000 | 3rd Place: MVR 3,000 

All submitted content may be featured in future HDC promotions (with credit)
